Backed by experience and grounded in care, I support clients in finding lasting healing & hope

I see you. I hear you. The part of you that’s exhausted from surviving, and the part that still dares to hope for more. You may carry the weight of a childhood that left you feeling unseen, unsafe, or untethered. Maybe you’ve learned to protect yourself by disconnecting from others, from your emotions, even from your own sense of self. And yet, something in you is reaching toward healing, toward wholeness.

This space is for that part of you. I offer a compassionate, grounded approach to healing that honors both your pain and your strength. Through holistic, integrative practices that reconnect you with your body, mind, spirit, and the natural world, we’ll work together to unearth the wisdom within you - the part that knows you are worthy, resilient, and capable of deep, meaningful transformation.

Welcome!

I’m Amy, the founder and steward of Unearth Wellness. In my years as a crisis counselor, I witnessed how experiences of trauma profoundly change our relationship with our body. This is why I created Unearth Wellness. I envisioned a center dedicated to generating the conditions for healing by using experiential and body based therapeutic approaches to wellness.

Here we hold true that both joy and pain are realities of life and that suffering can be transformed into meaningful growth. We acknowledge how healing can only happen when a quality of presence is cultivated and maintained in the company of another human being. We support the ability of an individual to develop the capacity to be fully present in their body and seek to nurture self-regulation methods for people to live a more conscious life.

In these pages, I hope you encounter your innate wisdom by experiencing your own embodied movement practice.

Methods

  • Experiential therapy is an umbrella term for a variety of therapeutic approaches that emphasize hands-on activities, emotional expression, and direct experience to help individuals process difficult emotions and past experiences.

The core idea is that people can gain deeper insight and healing by embodying their emotions and experiences in the present moment, rather than merely reflecting on them from a distance.

  • Embodied therapy is a body-centered approach to mental health treatment that emphasizes the connection between the mind-body-spirit, recognizing that emotional and psychological experiences are stored in the body and can manifest as physical sensations or symptoms.

  • Internal Family Systems aims to foster self-awareness and healing by helping individuals understand and harmonize the dynamics among internal parts, particularly focusing on healing wounded parts and empowering the Self to lead the internal system.

  • Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga is the first yoga-based, empirically validated clinical intervention for complex trauma or chronic, treatment-resistant post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

By focusing on the felt sense of the body to inform choice-making, TCTSY allows participants to restore their connection of mind and body and cultivate a sense of agency that is often compromised as a result of trauma.
